The Barossa Council Smart Region Strategy

Featherstone Consulting's director , Kane has been working with The Barossa Council over time to help develop a smart technology strategic plan for the world famous wine region.

The Barossa Council is a regional council in South Australia and wanted to explore the benefits that smart city technology offers for residents, the council and the wider community in the Barossa Valley.  Kane developed a regionally focussed smart region strategy for the council which is an enabling document meshed with other planning documents for the council to ensure smart technologies are embedded in the normal planning cycles for the council and region.  A challenging portfolio of projects over the short, medium and long terms will enable the community to benefit from outcome focussed projects, enhancing communication with the council, engagement with local businesses and industry, and ensuring the tourism industry is supported with smart public infrastructure.
