Featherstone Consulting has worked with international developer, Mulpha at Norwest in Baulkham Hills in Sydney, NSW, to design, tender and project manage a smart city precinct development to be delivered to the local council.
Through a Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) with The Hills Shire Council, Mulpha Norwest has offered to build a smart city precinct in the public realm in Norwest in Sydney. This development includes, smart poles, smart lighting systems, CCTV, public WiFi, environmental monitoring, 5G, and creative lighting.
This complex project has been designed, offered to tender, and will be built in public easement around the lake along Solent Circuit in Baulkham Hills. The project will be installed on several different land titles, with multiple owners and body corporate associations to navigate. There is no common infrastructure such as power or communications. Featherstone Consulting has been instrumental through all phases of the project and is assisting Mulpha to manage the relationships with the various land owners, body corporates and will project manage the project to hand over a smart city asset to The Hills Shire Council to be managed for the next 20 years.
